Workshop Overview

The University Advising Center is excited to launch CRM Advise, our new advising and student success platform powered by Ellucian. CRM Advise will streamline advising workflows, improve communication with students, and support our long-term vision of a proactive, data-informed advising experience at USC.

These initial workshops are designed to help advisors become comfortable with core CRM Advise functionality, navigate the interface with confidence, and begin using the system.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

• Log in, access their home dashboard, and understand the layout of CRM Advise
• Locate students, view student profiles, and interpret key student success data
• Document advising interactions using Notes and Advising Reports
• Schedule, manage, and modify advising availability and appointments
• Send individual and bulk communications to students
• Understand how CRM Advise integrates with DegreeWorks and Self Service Carolina

Hands-On Activities

This is a live, interactive training. Attendees will:

• Practice documenting a real advising appointment
• Create availability and test scheduling functionality
• Search for students using filters and saved views

• Laptop (if you do not have a work laptop, please communicate with Mike Dial)
• List of a few advisees (optional) for live practice
